My Story

  My name is Melinda Thomas and I'm a professional freelance photographer. I'm also a devoted wife of 16 years to Ashley Thomas, and we are blessed with 3 beautiful kids. My interest in photography started with my mother who is sadly deceased. She had so many pictures growing up like she tried to catch every moment of our lives. Just like her, I like to catch the beauty of every precious memory. I always had a passion for art and photography, so when my life was altered with life circumstances, I decided now is the time to pursue something that I'm actually passionate about. I worked at Frito-Lay for 17 years and received a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Unfortunately, I had never established a career in Social Work, but it was never without trying. I had a good career at Frito-Lay until I had a baby with special needs. The schedule was just too demanding to fulfil the demands of a baby with Cerebral Palsy. She is four years old now and has the prettiest smile. Her schedule consists of therapies and a feeding tube. She changed my life, but in a good way. It made me appreciate life more because we could have lost her, and this helped me realize that I needed to pursue something that actually makes
